Where to stay in Las Vegas: compare six hotel options

Expanded planning answers reviewed October 22, 2026 (Pacific).

Strip resort or downtown base?

Use the main commitments of your trip to decide. Circa puts a downtown stay in the Fremont Street area. Bellagio, ARIA and The Cosmopolitan offer central Strip bases; The Venetian and Wynn serve a different part of the resort corridor. Compare the actual room category and total rate for your dates, then check transport to your event venue.

Compare all six hotel listings

For meals, compare the restaurant’s location as well as the hotel name; admission, shows and club reservations are separate bookings.

Start with the trip you want to take, then choose the room. A useful hotel shortlist matches your actual venues, travel dates and cancellation needs.

Choose your trip anchors first

Write down the show, conference or neighborhood you most want to visit. Put its exact entrance on a map, along with the hotel entrance. A resort name is not a walking-time estimate. Allow for time inside large properties and avoid building a schedule around an untested door-to-door journey. If your days are downtown, compare a downtown base with the cost and time of staying on the Strip.

Six starting points, not a ranking

HotelWhat to compare
Bellagio rooms and rates Official siteConsider it when “O”, the fountains or the Conservatory are anchors for your trip. A fountain view depends on the room you select.
The Cosmopolitan rooms and rates Official siteCompare the exact room description if a terrace matters. Do not treat a feature shown in a resort photograph as an inclusion in every room.
The Venetian Resort rooms and rates Official siteCompare The Venetian and The Palazzo, the suite configuration, and the building named on your reservation.
Wynn & Encore rooms and rates Official siteChoose the tower and room category deliberately. Review the resort’s own description and the terms for the rate you select.
ARIA Resort & Casino rooms and rates Official siteCompare its room categories against the locations of your planned activities, rather than choosing from the room photograph alone.
Circa Resort & Casino rooms and rates Official siteA downtown option at Fremont Street. Check the resort’s age and access policies before including it in a family or group shortlist.

Compare the same room and stay

  • Use identical dates, guest counts and room occupancy when comparing offers. A room advertised for two people may have different terms when you add guests.
  • Separate requirements from preferences: bed arrangement, step-free access, smoking policy, connecting rooms and check-in conditions deserve confirmation before payment.
  • Read whether a view, terrace, breakfast, parking or pool access is included in the exact offer. Ask the hotel about any requirement the booking page does not answer.
  • Record the cancellation deadline and its time zone. Compare refundable and prepaid rates as different products, not just different numbers.

Build a total-stay worksheet

Compare the room subtotal, taxes, applicable resort charges, parking and any optional items you intend to use. Keep deposits or card holds separate from the final cost. A lower nightly headline can still produce a higher trip total. No live rates or savings claims are quoted here: enter your dates on the official hotel site and compare the final terms before booking.

Make the shortlist usable

Choose two or three viable hotels, rather than collecting every room you see. Use the Hotels filter in our activity directory to save options in My picks. Your list stays in your browser; it does not hold a room or guarantee availability. If a performance is central to the trip, check its dates before making a restrictive hotel reservation.
